The Mutoh ValueJet 1608 64" Hybrid Roll and Rigid Printer

Finally a flatbed with brilliant results at a price you can afford, reaching speeds up to 140 square feet an hour in production mode. For the first time Mutoh brings you a printer you can use for both car wraps and rigid substrates. Mutoh's new ValueJet 1608 - Hybrid printers print directly onto corrugated plastics, polystyrene, PVC, acrylic, Polycarbonate, foam board, aluminum composite, banner, wall covering and more. Mutoh's new MUBIO INK is recognized by the EPA Design for the Environment program. The ink is composed of 80% plant derived substances, contains no harmful VOC's and has faster drying times. The ValueJet Hybrid features drop-on-demand Micro Piezo Inkjet Technology. It is a 4-color printer with a maximum resolution of 1440 dpi, and automatic media thickness detection. The MUBIO INK is available in 880 ml ink packs.

Using Dynamic Variable Dot Imaging Technology, each ink droplet is individually adjusted to provide high speed and high quality with low ink consumption. Each head allows print resolutions of 1400 x 720 dpi, 1440 x 1440 dpi, 540 x 720 dpi and 720 x 720 dpi.

The new printers incorporate Mutoh's Intelligent Interweaving print technology (i² - pronounced i-squared). Mutoh has taken a totally new approach with its i² technology. Ink is laid down carefully in optimized wave forms, not in straight lines used in traditional printing practices. This approach drastically reduces or even eliminates typical inkjet printing artifacts such as horizontal banding, step mismatch banding, ink mottle, etc. In short, i² will allow bi-directional printing of all images, even for the most critical jobs.

The new ValueJet 1608 Hybrid printer will be delivered standard with an ink starter kit (2 x 4 CMYK) and table.

Mutoh VJ 1614 Mutoh's ValueJet 1614 printer, with a top speed of 18.2 m²/h, has been specifically developed for the sign & display market. Incorporating Mutoh's i² (Intelligent Interveaving technology), the ValueJet 1614 will offer typical production speeds (720x720 dpi, 4 pass) upto 15 m²/h on banner and upto 8.6 m²/h on vinyl.

Offering a media width of 1625 mm and a printing width of 1615 mm, the ValueJet 1614 produces full-colour posters, banners, backlit panels, POS displays, notices, signs and stickers.

The ValueJet 1614 incorporates a new generation piezo drop-on-demand variable drop "wide-model" print head. The 1440 nozzle head incorporates four colour sections (two nozzle rows of 180 nozzles/colour).

Easy to set up and utilise even by inexperienced operators, the ValueJet 1614 Eco-Solvent Ultra ink printer offers increased ink capacity (440 ml) giving lower production costs / m². The new vertical ink cassette slot system also enhances printer ergonomics.

Standard equipped with a non-motorised unwinding system for media rolls (2"/3" core) up to a weight of 30 kg, the ValueJet 1614 printer can be set up with two optional motorised unwinding / winding systems. As a result, the ValueJet 1614 printer can perfectly address the volume & application needs of the user.

Optional unwinder / winder systems are the T winder 30 take up unit, equipped with a tension bar system, for media rolls up to 30 kg and the unwinder / winder 100 system with tensioning mechanism for motorised unwinding and winding of media rolls up to 100 kg.
